God’s Word provides the key to one of the greatest secrets of life: “Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come into his courts. O worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth” (Psalm 96:8-9).
Giving is the key to success and financial breakthrough!
This is not a gimmick. It is not the latest fad. Giving is simply God’s principle that has worked since the beginning of time.
Today, many of the top corporate executives I have met understand this principle, even those who aren’t grounded in the Word. They are generally givers. The same goes for the best political leaders and high achievers.
Success and giving go hand in hand.
The true secret, however, isn’t just giving. It is giving according to God’s plan. Look back at Psalm 96 and consider:
* Giving gives God glory. Every time you offer praise or tangible gifts, you give God glory. The Bible is filled with accounts of people who brought what they had in their hands—small or great—and were blessed with overwhelming abundance. That’s not the reason to give though. Giving simply establishes authority and submission to God’s plan for your life. It’s a breakthrough moment when you finally realize what a giving heart does for your spiritual life. Giving brings openness to whatever God decides to do in an area of your life!
* Giving enables us to come into God’s presence properly. Abraham understood this. In Genesis 14 he gave an offering to Melchizedek. This was 400 years before the law was given to Moses, yet Abraham knew then what believers need to know today. To receive blessings from being in God’s presence, you must come with an open, giving heart. The offering is tangible evidence of your inner desire. As we see in the Old Testament, a giving heart builds a powerful legacy that moved from generation to generation, extending from Abraham to Isaac, Jacob, and beyond. There are certain steps to coming into God’s courts. And giving enables you to do it properly.
* Giving makes our worship complete. We find in the book of Numbers theexact details for building the Tabernacle that were given to Moses. God commanded him to tell the elders to bring offerings for specific times, and He outlined exact weights, amounts, and details. Granted, that was the Law. Today we are under grace, yet the principles remain the same. Giving is still part of our worship. Those who give freely are rewarded freely.
Proven Principles
I have seen these principles proven in my own life, over and over. Whenever you are tempted to look upon giving as a mere exercise or something you have to do, the results are always less than satisfactory. But I have found that when I give with an open, fresh heart, I always receive accordingly.
Let me hasten to add that this isn’t just about money. Far from it!
These principles of giving are so vital and far-reaching because I sense a coming harvest unlike anything we’ve seen before. I want you, as my partner, to be aware of the crucial times in which we live, and I want you to understand the important key to success that will allow you to participate freely in the great outpouring about to happen.
It is time to get out of debt. It is time for financial breakthrough for you and your loved ones!
